The latest speculation gained momentum after veteran actor Y. Gee. Mahendran, who is Anirudh’s uncle, spoke about his nephew during a recent YouTube interview. While congratulating Anirudh, Mahendran hinted that a “very big wedding” could be on the cards.

He also had plenty of praise for Kavya, highlighting her business acumen and her role in successfully running an IPL franchise. Mahendran suggested that the two could potentially collaborate on business ventures in the future. His comments were enough for fans to interpret them as confirmation of the relationship, although he did not explicitly confirm a wedding date or venue.

This is not the first time Anirudh and Kavya have been linked. In mid-2025, a Reddit post claiming that the two were dating went viral and even alleged that Rajinikanth had discussed their relationship with Kavya’s father, Kalanithi Maran. The speculation quickly spread across social media.

Anirudh, however, appeared to dismiss the rumours at the time with a cheeky response on X. “Marriage ah? lol .. Chill out guys pls stop spreading rumours,” he wrote. With neither Anirudh nor Kavya confirming their relationship or the reported Greece wedding, the November 10 date remains unverified. For now, the wedding buzz appears to be exactly that, it’s buzz.

Anirudh is among the most sought-after music composers in Indian cinema. He has collaborated with leading stars including Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith Kumar, Pawan Kalyan, Jr NTR and Kamal Haasan.
