A magical delivery from Dasun Shanaka has sealed a thrilling 9-run victory for Seattle Orcas in the 21st match of the MLC 2026 at Pomona.

He picked four wickets in the final over, reviving the side from defeat to secure a win in a low-score encounter. By this win, Seattle Orcas jumped to the 2nd spot in the MLC 2026 points table.

Being invited to bat first, Tim Seifert and Shayan Jahangir opened the innings for Seattle Orcas while TSK’s Wiaan Mulder opened the bowling attack.

Adam Milne bagged the wicket of Tim Seifert for 7 runs, while Wiaan Mulder dismissed Matthew Breetzke for 4 runs. With Orcas trying to stabilise the innings, Milne struck and bagged his second wicket, dismissing Jahangir for 3 runs.

With Shimron Hetmyer and Ali Sheikh at the crease, Seattle Orcas scored 31 runs in the power play.

Amshi de Silva bagged the wickets of Shimron Hetmyer and Marcus Stoinis, and Cameron Gannon was dismissed on a runout for 20 runs.

With Hammat Singh and Jasdeep Singh’s contributions, Seattle Orcas scored only 121 runs in their 20-over innings.

Amshi de Silva bagged three wickets while Adam Milne bagged two wickets. Wiaan Mulder, Abhimanyu Lamba and Dian Forrester completed their spells with a wicket tally.

Chasing 122 run target, Faf du Plessis and Saitea Mukkamalla opened the innings while Marcus Stoinis opened the bowling attack.

Ottneil Baartman bagged the wickets of Faf du Plessis and Saiteja Mukkamalla for 14 and 6, respectively.

With Jasdeep Singh bagging the wicket of Rilee Rossouw for 4 runs, Texas Super Kings lost their top order within the power play.

With Shubham Ranjane and Wiaan Mulder at the crease, TSK scored 35 runs in the power play.

Baartman bagged his third wicket, dismissing Wiaan Mulder for 7 runs. However, Shubham Ranjane and Donovan Ferreira forged a small partnership, stabilising the innings.

In the final over, Dasun Shanaka delivered a magical spell, picking four wickets, to set up a stunning victory for Orcas.

He bagged the wickets of Donovan Ferreira (22 runs while Calvin Savage, Adam Milne and Amshi de Silva got dismissed on a golden duck.
