Various development works worth ₹500 crore have been undertaken in Kondepi constituency, said Social Welfare Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy after inaugurating a road project at Singarayakonda in Prakasam district on Monday.
Along with BC Welfare Minister S. Savitha, A.P. Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Nookasani Balaji, and Kanigiri MLA Mukku Ugra Narasimha Reddy, he inaugurated a newly constructed cement road in Patha Singarayakonda built at a cost of ₹68 lakh.
He also laid the foundation stone for a drinking water pipeline project for the ST Colony, estimated to cost ₹12 lakh. Criticising the previous government for halting BC residential school project in Singarayakonda, he said that ₹45 crore has been sanctioned to it by the BC Welfare Minister.
Ms. Savitha stated that ever since the new government assumed office, everyone, from the Chief Minister to the ministers and MLAs, has been constantly engaging with the people, addressing their issues.
She alleged that while the previous government had neglected administration, the current government was revitalising systems starting at the village level and providing amenities such as cement roads, drainage facilities, and drinking water.
The Minister also mentioned that the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the expansion of residential schools that offer quality education and good facilities. She appealed the people to stand by the local leaders, who are working for the development of Kondepi.
