In the video, the car can be seen driven by Krishnavardhan Singh Khachariyawas, the son of former Rajasthan minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas. Krishnavardhan Singh is heard telling Yadav that the police vehicles would accompany their car throughout their ride and even explained that the police vehicles would change as the jurisdiction of each police station changes.

Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George said Tuesday that police did not escort the vehicle.

ACP Kunwar Rashtradeep told The Indian Express that an FIR has been registered at the cyber police station against Elvish Yadav for allegedly posting a “fake video” and tarnishing the image of Rajasthan Police. The ACP also said the police vehicles shown in the video were not escorting Yadav.

Yadav came to Jaipur on February 8 to shoot a song in Sambhar. He also shot a vlog during his visit that he posted on his YouTube channel. The video showing Yadav and Krishnavardhan Singh following a police vehicle out of traffic without any hindrance was part of the vlog. The vlog also showed a police vehicle travelling ahead of their car on a different occasion.

The video also purportedly showed Yadav’s car not having to pay toll as it followed a police vehicle.

Former minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, a Congress leader, told reporters that neither he not his son had asked for police escort.

“Elvish Yadav has often visited me, and as a politician, I meet a lot of people. My government is not in power so, I do not know who has asked for an escort or why the police vehicle was escorting him. Neither my son nor I have asked for an escort. One should ask the state government or Elvish what was going on with the police vehicles… The issue is stretched too much,” Khachariyawas said.
