Bollywood actor Imran Khan has voiced support for the ongoing student protests in Jharkhand. He shared a sarcastic post on social media that read, “Students protesting in Jharkhand. Let’s all ignore them, what could possibly go wrong.” The remark comes just days after he joined a student protest in Mumbai.

Imran made his acting debut as a lead in 2008 with Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, directed by Abbas Tyrewala. Before that, audiences had seen him as a child actor in films starring his uncle, Aamir Khan, including Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander.

In an interview with Filmfare last year, Imran reflected on his early years in the industry. He said he would tell his younger self to be less fearful and more open to adventure and experimentation. According to the actor, early success often brings advisers with strong opinions about what is right or wrong, leading young actors to believe those voices always know best. He added that true creativity flourishes in freedom rather than in trying to meet others’ expectations.

After Katti Batti in 2015, Imran said he “stopped taking films just because they came my way and began seeking deeper meaning in my work.” Speaking to Filmfare, he shared, “I realised I was scared and emotionally closed off. Admitting that and committing to emotional and psychological growth became a turning point for me around mid-2016.”
