Nearly 25 years later, if Karan Johar were to remake Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, who would be cast as Tina, Anjali, or Rahul? The filmmaker picked his favourites in a recent chat, and this new cast will leave you impressed. Speaking to Sania Mirza in a conversation, Karan revealed it would be Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and Ananya Panday.
Revealing who would be cast as whom, Karan shared that Alia Bhatt would play the modern Anjali, Ranveer Singh would be Rahul, and Ananya Panday would be Tina. He also mentioned Janhvi Kapoor or Sara Ali Khan as options for Tina, playfully referring to the new generation of star kids as “younger nepo babies.”
Karan Johar further talked about nepotism and whether he has ever given a role to anyone after their parents requested it, to which he shared, “I know they are nepo babies. I’ve seen them grow up in front of me. But none of their parents have ever called me. I have always been the one to call.”

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) is a Bollywood romantic drama directed by Karan Johar and produced by Yash Johar under Dharma Productions. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan as Rahul, Kajol as Anjali, and Rani Mukerji as Tina, with Salman Khan in a special appearance.
