A brilliant fifty from Mitchell Marsh in the power play has set up a good start for LSG in the IPL 2026 game played against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Lucknow.
Despite a slow start from his fellow opener, he put up a show, posting 20 ball fifty and continued to bat, setting up a stage for the side. Lucknow Super Giants had a disappointing campaign in the ongoing season, with two wins out of 9 games, and will be aiming for a win with a promising start in the ongoing match.
After being invited to bat, Mitchell Marsh and Arshin Kulkarni opened the innings while Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the bowling attack.
The drizzle stopped the match, but did not last long as the game resumed after a few minutes.
With Arshin Kulkarni put a slow start, Mitchell Marsh went on to deal with fours and sixes as he put 20 ball fifty and continued to bat as he scored 58 runs in the powerplay.
