Nandi hills Monsoon Marathon: Vehicle movement likely to be restricted on August 8 and 9

Monsoon Marathon in Nandi hills is back with its second edition for all fitness enthusiasts, runners and nature lovers. It is scheduled to start on August 8 at 11 a.m. and end on August 9 at 12 p.m. As per the details provided by the officials of Chickballapur district administration, the marathon will be flagged off from Karahalli Cross and will end at Nandi hills.

Traffic movement will be restricted from Karahalli Cross to Nandi hills during the period.

“People above 18 can participate in the marathon. Registrations are open. Medical assistance will be available throughout the course. Last year, around 3,000 people from across various cities in Karnataka participated in the marathon. This year too it aims to attract more than 3,000 people to be part of the marathon,” a Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports official said.

The event also promotes zero waste and no-plastic policy during the marathon and hence, reusable water bottles will be provided to the participants.
