In a freaking incident, a 19-year-old mechanic was severely injured after a tyre of a bus exploded while repairing in Karnataka’s Udupi. The incident is being captured on a surveillance camera and is doing rounds the corner on social media.
The incident reportedly took place on December 21 at a roadside tire shop on National Highway 66, near Koteshwar area in the coastal district.
As per the footage, 19-year-old Abdul Rajid, who was reportedly fixing a flat tire on a private school bus, was pumping air into a large tyre. Moments later, the tyre exploded, tossing Rajid several feet in air.

The footage also showed a school bus parked in front of the shop and getting one of its tyres repaired.
The forceful blast of the tyre propelled Abdul and led to a hand injury, for which he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
