Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra, shares a special bond with her son-in-law and singer Nick Jonas. In a recent interview, Dr Madhu Chopra shared how she loves Nick and recalled her initial meeting with him. She also added when Priyanka decided to marry him, she didn’t know him well and hadn’t met him. However, Nick swept her off her foot with his respectful demenour and candid honesty. She also recalled the time he sang for her and Priyanka. In the same interview, she also addressed Priyanka and Nick’s age difference.
In a recent interview with Lehren Retro, Madhu Chopra was asked how she liked Nick Jonas, Madhu Chopra reacted, “I love him.”
She was then asked about her feelings when Priyanka Chopra’s relationship with Nick got serious. Madhu Chopra shared that she didn’t know him well and hadn’t met him. She added that after they met, Nick sang a beautiful song for her and they had great conversations.
“He just composed one new song. He had written it for Priyanka, and he sang it very often after that,” shared Madhu Chopra. She went on to add that Nick he was very confident and comfortable in his skin.
Madhu Chopra was then asked if she ever had a problem with the age difference between Priyanka and Nick. On this Madhu Chopra stated that she didn’t feel that way at all and added how she had a friend who was 15 years older than her husband, and they have been happily married for around 35 years.
“Age is just a number in people’s heads who want to make an issue out of it. Dil milne chahiye, dimag milne chahiye (Hearts should meet, minds should meet),” shared Priyanka Chopra’s mom.
Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas in December 2018. The couple was recently in India to be a part of Priyanka’s brother Siddharth Chopra’s wedding with Neelam Upadhyaya.
