Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s movie Bhool Chuk Maaf finally hit the screes on May 23 after much delay. With Bhool Chuk Maaf’s release, Ajay Devgn’s film Raid 2 has slowed down at the box office. Here’s the full BO report.
This Friday, the much-talked-about movie Bhool Chuk Maaf made it to the theatres. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in leading roles, the film directed by Karan Sharma. There was a lot of buzz around the movie as the makers initially decided to opt for OTT release given the tension between India and Pakistan. However, they had to release it in the theatres after a multiplex chain sued the producers. After much discussion, the movie released on May 23. The box office report of the film suggests that it has taken a decent start.
As per a report in Sacnilk.com, Bhool Chuk Maaf starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi managed to make around Rs 6.75 crore on its opening day. The movie received mixed reviews from critics and audience. Though it has taken a decent start, it has failed to beat the first day box office collection of Akshay Kumar’s movie Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jalianwala Bagh. The film had made around Rs 7.75 crore at the box office on day one.
Bhool Chuk Maaf also clashed with Kesari Veer starring Sooraj Pancholi. The movie has taken a rather disappointing start as it has reportedly made Rs 0.25 crore on its first day. These are the early estimates.
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 is still running in the theatres. The movie that released on May 1 earned Rs 1.03 crore approximately on its 24th day at the box office. The total collection of the movie is around Rs 157.88 crore. Ajay Devgn starrer that also has Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in key roles had made around Rs 19 crore on its opening day. The film had received positive response and witnessed a good boost in numbers. It has become one of the successful movies of the year 2025 so far.
