Muscular look in Peddi
For his role in Peddi, which involves cricketing agility and wrestling strength, Ram Charan underwent a massive physical transformation. He worked closely with celebrity fitness coach (Shivoham Bhatt) for months in 2024, months before the shoot began. The goal was to achieve a rugged and muscular look. The action star looks significantly bulkier than in his previous cinematic outings. His appearance features a heavy beard for a reason – it complements his muscularity. In a bid to elevate the intensity of the action sequence that also demanded Ram Charan to flex his muscles, he suffered minor bruises.

A history of physical transformation
Ram Charan’s fruition began with his major transformation for Dhruva. He collaborated with celebrity trainer Rakesh Udiyar. Udiyar previously shaped Aamir Khan for Dangal and Salman Khan for Sultan. This partnership pushed the actor to peak fitness levels. Charan continued the heavy workout regimen for his roles in Rangasthalam and Vinaya Vidheya Rama. His dedication remained consistent across these diverse characters. For SS Rajamouli’s RRR, his training became even more intense. He pushed his body to the absolute limit for the demanding action sequences. This gruelling process was not without its challenges. He suffered a couple of injuries while filming on sets. In 2019, he suffered a minor ankle injury while working out at a gym in Pune. Later, in 2021, he suffered a second-degree ACL ligament tear during the shoot of Naatu Naatu.
