Republic Day 2026: As India is gearing up to celebrate its 77th Republic Day on Monday, January 26, 2026, President Droupadi Murmu will deliver her address to the nation on Sunday evening.
This will be President Murmu’s fourth address on Republic Day eve, and will be streamed live across the nation.
The address will be broadcast live in Hindi, followed by the English version. For those who prefer to listen in regional languages, the address will be broadcast in various regional languages starting at 9:30 pm on Doordarshan’s regional channels and Akashvani’s regional networks.
Where To Watch the President’s Speech?
The President’s address to the nation will be broadcast in Hindi and English on Doordarshan channels from 7pm.
The speech will be available across regional Doordarshan channels and will also be aired on All India Radio (AIR).
In addition, the President’s speech will be live-streamed on her official social media platforms—Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube—as well as on Doordarshan’s YouTube channel.
Republic Day 2026
The nation will celebrate its 77th Republic Day on Monday. A total of 30 tableaux, including 17 from States and Union Territories (UTs) and 13 from Ministries, Departments, and Services, will roll down the Kartavya Path during the iconic parade in New Delhi.
For the first time, Indian Army contingents participating in the Republic Day Parade will march in a combat-ready battle array, reflecting their actual deployment during warfare, Major General Navraj Dhillon, Chief of Staff, HQ Delhi, said during a media interaction in New Delhi on Friday.
The Indian Army Tableau will depict an Integrated Operations Centre, illustrating joint planning, precision targeting and air defence under the protective umbrella of “Sudarshan Chakra”, showcasing how modern conflicts are planned and executed in real time.
The parade will comprise 6,065 participants and will be commanded by Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar. The event will also feature 12 military bands and 8 pipe bands, adding ceremonial grandeur to the operational narrative.
