Saif Ali Khan Attacked News LIVE: Amid concerns being raised on security in Mumbai, some politicians are questioning if the attack on Saif Ali Khan was ‘real or fake’. After Sanjay Nirupam’s controversial “jumping and walking into home” remark, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nitesh Rane made a fiery speech in Pimpri-Chinchwad. He said that whenever Shah Rukh Khan or Saif Ali Khan get hurt, everyone begins talking about it. But when an actor like Sushant Singh Rajput is “tortured”, no one comes forward to say anything.

Saif Ali Khan has been provided security by the Mumbai police till the investigation into the January 16 stabbing incident concluded. The Bollywood actor will be given ‘1+1 security’, which means that one police constable will stay with him around the clock.

“We have provided 1+1 security to Saif Ali Khan, where one constable will remain with the actor 24/7. The security is not categorised,” a senior Mumbai police officer was quoted by Mid-Day.

The security has been tightened around the actor as Mumbai police tries to determine whether the motive of Bangladeshi national, Shareeful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, was purely theft or if there was another intention behind the attack.

Police on Sunday arrested the attacker for stabbing Khan at his Bandra apartment on during a burglary bid. A variety of materials, including mobile phones, clothes of the accused, and CCTV footage seized following the arrest of Fakir (30) alias Vijay Das, have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Mumbai’s Kalina for examination.

An official said investigators are facing difficulty in interrogating Fakir due to the language barrier as he speaks Hindi with a heavy Bangladeshi accent. The accused has been asked to speak slowly so that police could decipher his statements, the official added.
