Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s video has gone viral. The actress regretted not spying on a certain someone in her life.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya parted ways in 2021.
Although Samantha Ruth Prabhu played a spy in Citadel: Honey Bunny, the actress has never spied on anyone in her life. However, during an old interview, she said she would have spied on someone, in hindsight. The clip has gone viral on Reddit, and although Samantha never took Naga Chaitanya’s name, and the actor has previously shut down these claims, netizens still speculate if she was talking about her former husband.
Samantha said, “Not a spy. Don’t have those traits… No, I wish… thinking back, I should have.” Samantha laughed as she said this while promoting Citadel: Honey Bunny. Although Samantha Ruth Prabhu never mentioned why she wanted to be a spy, fans suspected that she was referring to her divorce from Naga Chaitanya.
One person wrote, “Doesn’t this pretty much confirm that she was cheated on?” Another added, “Yes. Wasn’t it quite obvious?” One comment read, “Did Naga Chaitanya cheat on Sam?” However, some netizens also noted that it is best not to speculate. One comment read, “By now, Sam knows what statements will get her views and get people talking. Plus, they are actors. Best not to take what comes out of their mouth during promos seriously.” Another read, “We’d never know what really happened. They’re not going to tell that. No point speculating on that for so long.” One person wrote, “We can’t take any such comments at face value.”
Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya tied the knot with Sobhita Dhulipala last year. The two had been dating for a while. Naga Chaitanya told Zoom that he met the actress in Mumbai for a work event. The actor said, “I was in Mumbai for the launch of my OTT show, during that time, she did have a show with the same platform as well. We first interacted at the event hosted by the OTT platform.” Naga also clarified that he started dating Sobhita after his divorce from Samantha.
