External affairs minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday said he spoke to Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov about the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
Jaishankar, who also spoke to European Union’s top diplomat Kaja Kallas and his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot, said he had a “good” conversation over the telephone with Lavrov.
He said the two of them shared their assessments on the Iran war, while also taking stock of bilateral cooperation between India and Russia.
“A good telecon with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov of Russia. Shared our assessments on the West Asia conflict and related diplomatic efforts. Also took stock of our bilateral cooperation agenda,” Jaishankar said in a post on X.
