Stakeholders in Shraddha Kapoor‘s Eetha, Sidharth Malhotra’s Vvan and Anupam Kher‘s Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 must be heaving a big sigh of relief right now. Originally slated to clash together on August 28 at the theatres, now Eetha has moved straightaway to December, freeing up the date. The team of Vvan, too had earlier pushed their release to September 25.
According to a tweet by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Tuesday, Eetha has moved to a new release date- December 4. It also stars Randeep Hooda and Zeeshan Ayyub in supporting roles, with Shraddha essaying the role of legendary Lavani artist Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar.
The teaser of Eetha was released in June this year, and received praise especially directed towards the music score and glimpses of Shraddha’s intense avatar.
The clashes that still stand confirmed as of now are Akshay Kumar- Saif Ali Khan’s Haiwaan and Ayushmann Khurrana- Sara Ali Khan’s Udta Teer, both releasing on September 11. Another clash is happening this week itself- between Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 and Sunny Deol’s Batwaara 1947.
Recently, Alia Bhatt’s Alpha and Huma Qureshi’s Baby Do Die Do had released together at the theatres. Interestingly, both had revolved around female assassins.
