The Tamil Nadu Council of Historical Research has started inviting applications from independent researchers and interested persons who have completed a post-graduate degree for a one-year research fellowship.

The fellowship entails conducting in-depth and exhaustive research on the history of Tamil Nadu extracted from archival records in the State. The fellowships carries a monthly financial assistance of ₹50,000.

Eligibility criteria and other details are available at www.tamilnaduarchives.tn.gov.in. The deadline for online submission of applications is 5 p.m. on November 28, according to a press release from Higher Education Minister Govi. Chezhiaan.
