Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most popular shows on the television screens. The show has kept everyone hooked on its storyline and plot for decades. The show has become a household name now and fans were waiting for Disha Vakani to re-enter as Dayaben in the show.
In a recent interaction with The Indian Express, the show’s producer Asit Modi spoke about bringing back the iconic character which was originally played by Disha Vakani. He said, “We will definitely bring back the character of Daya Bhabhi.”
He also acknowledged the fact that most of the fans have said that the show has not felt the same since her departure. Dayaben’s unique laugh, her chemistry with Jethalal, and her Garba steps spilled magic. The producer and fans feel that it is hard to replace Disha.
Modi even revealed that they have already shortlisted a few actors for the role. He said that viewers might soon get to see a new face stepping into Daya’s shoes. It’s been five long years since Disha exited the show and her absence is deeply felt. “She cared deeply for her fellow actors and the crew,” he said. It seems as the producer and the makers of the show are looking for someone who will carry forward Disha’s legacy in the show.
Well, it seems as if fans will now witness a new Dayaben who might fill Disha’s space. Asit’s statement about roping a new actor to play Dayaben has left fans excited.
