The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demanded a compensation of Rs 2.65 lakh from a Breach Candy resident for allegedly damaging the railing of Mumbai Coastal Road with his car due to “negligent driving”. The incident happened on October 7, when the car was going from Haji Ali to Worli and the driver lost control over the vehicle. The car broke through the roadside railing and fell into the sea and the driver was rescued by Maharashtra Security Forces (MSF) , the civic officials said.
