Rajasthan Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force has arrested a key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi wanted in several cases of extortion from Dubai, officials said Friday. According to the police, Aditya Jain alias Tony is believed to be a go-between for the Lawrence Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang and one of the key members facilitating “dabba” calls. Here’s how the dabba call works. First, a henchman would allegedly use the internet to place an extortion call to his intended victim. Next, he allegedly would place a second call using another phone to his boss sitting in a different country, keep the two phones side-by-side, turn on their speakers, and let his boss do the talking.
