Idukki, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts were put on the orange alert, while the rest of the State has been placed under yellow alert where isolated heavy rain is expected during the next 24 hours. The deep depression that lies over Chhattisgarh and parts of Madhya Pradesh is expected to trigger heavy rainfall across the State. As per the IMD bulletin, heavy rain is likely to continue for two more days in Kerala. An intense heavy rainfall alert has been issued for 11 districts on Friday, except Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram where a yellow alert has been issued. The flight landed safely, and all 194 passengers on board were evacuated without any injuries. The incident involved IndiGo flight 6E 1452, which was operating from Mumbai to Dubai. According to officials, the crew noticed smoke in the cargo hold during the flight and immediately informed air traffic control.
