India unveils Commonwealth Games 2026 kit, accords grand send-off to athletes
The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) on Tuesday accorded a ceremonial send-off to the Indian contingent for the Commonwealth Games 2026 while unveiling the official ceremonial and competition kit for the Games in Glasgow. Held in New Delhi, the event was attended by Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, IOA president P.T. Usha, British High Commissioner to India Lindy Cameron, Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh, Sports Secretary Hari Ranjan Rao, Chef de Mission Rohit Rajpal, Deputy Chef de Mission Ravi Bengani, athletes, coaches and support staff. India will send a 124-member contingent comprising able-bodied and para-athletes to the Games, scheduled from July 23 to August 2. The team will compete across 10 disciplines, including athletics, boxing, weightlifting, gymnastics, judo, cycling, lawn bowls, swimming and para sports.
