The family of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal has suffered another tragedy with the death of his grandfather, Devichand Agarwal, weeks after the 25-year-old’s alleged murder at Lohagad Fort. Devichand Agarwal, 71, died around 9.45 pm on Saturday. Family members said he had been emotionally devastated following his grandson’s death. They said he had suffered a cardiac arrest and had been undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit of a private hospital in Pune for the past few days before he died. Police recreate crime scene with Siya Goyal, Chetan Chaudhary

JUNE 18 Day Ketan Agarwal lost his life The Pune rural police on Sunday took Siya Goyal, 20, the prime accused in the alleged murder of realtor Ketan Agrawal, to Lohagad Fort to recreate the crime scene as part of the ongoing investigation. Co-accused Chetan Chaudhary, 22, was also brought to the fort separately for the exercise under heavy police security. Led by Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, the police recreated the sequence of events to verify the accused’s version of the incident and identify the exact spot from where Agrawal was allegedly pushed into the gorge on June 18. A human-sized dummy was used during the exercise to reconstruct the alleged crime, while investigators conducted a detailed panchnama. The fort remained closed to tourists during the operation. Image Source : INDIA TV Main accused Shiva and four his associates arrested from Bahraich In a significant development in the Baba Siddique murder case, Uttar Pradesh Police and Mumbai Police, in a joint operation, arrested the prime accused shooter Shiv Kumar alias Shiva near the Nepal border in Bahraich. The STF team from UP and Mumbai held Shiva along with his four associates when they were attempting to flee Nepal. Shiva, a resident of Gandara in Bahraich, was involved in the high-profile murder.  Total 19 accused arrested so far Two more persons were arrested on Thursday in the case related to the murder of NCP leader Siddique. So far, 19 persons have been arrested in the case.  Aditya Gulankar (22) and Rafique Niyaz Shaikh (22) , both residents of Karvenagar area of Pune city were taken in custody as they were in contact with Pravin Lonkar, one of the alleged conspirators, and another accused Rupesh Mohol, an official said. Prime accused in RSS activist attempt to murder case arrested

Kalasipalya police arrested the prime accused in the attempt to murder case of RSS activist reported in December 2019. The accused Azharuddin, 41, had allegedly fled to Saudi Arabia after the incident and returned to Bangarapet after which he was tracked down and arrested. According to the police, the activist, identified as Varun Bopala, 31, was returning on a rented scooter after attending a pro CAA protest when armed men attacked him in Bamboo Bazaar Road in Kalasipalya.  The police registered a case of attempt to murder and arrested Mohammed Irfan, from RT Nagar, Syed Akbar, Syed Siddiqh, Akbar Anwar Basha and Sadiq Ameen from Shivajinagar, but prime accused Azharuddin had managed to escape to Saudi Arabia. He returned a few years ago and was working as a salesman in a second-hand car dealer shop in Bangarpet in Kolar from where he was arrested. The police kept a tab on the accused and tracked him down through call record details. The accused was produced before the court and taken into custody for further investigations. Source link
