The dust may have settled from her Asian Games heroics last year, but Sift Kaur Samra is hoping to ride that momentum straight to the Olympics. After winning India’s first-ever individual shooting Asiad gold medal in Hangzhou last year, breaking the world record in the process, Sift kicked off the Olympic shooting trials with a dominant performance, taking top spot with a score of 466.3, edging out fellow quota-winner Ashi Chouksey (462.6) and Olympian Anjum Moudgil (449.2) in the women’s 50m rifle 3-position category in New Delhi on Wednesday.
