It’s celebration time for Telugu cinema! The winners of the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards 2025 are finally out, and several popular stars have walked away with top honours. Actors Naga Chaitanya and Rashmika Mandanna emerged among the biggest winners this year, while cinema legends Chiranjeevi and Kamal Haasan were recognised with prestigious honorary awards.

The awards were announced on Saturday by the Telangana state government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The ceremony itself will take place on Ugadi, March 19, and is expected to see the presence of several prominent Tollywood personalities.

About The Gaddar Film Awards

The Gaddar Film Awards were introduced in 2025 by the Telangana government to recognise films released in 2024. The awards replaced the earlier Nandi Awards that were presented when Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were a unified state.

For the second edition of the awards, the winners were selected by a jury headed by filmmaker Thammareddy Bharadwaj.

Third Best Film: The Great Pre-Wedding Show

Best Director: Sailu (Raju Weds Rambai)

Best Actress: Rashmika Mandanna (The Girlfriend)

Best Supporting Actor: Sivaji (Dhandoraa)

Best Supporting Actress: Bhumika (Euphoria)

Best Music Director: Mark K Robin (Dhandoraa)

Best Male Playback Singer: Anurag Kulkarni (Raju Weds Rambai)

Best Female Playback Singer: Sahithi Chaganti (Kannappa)

Best Comedian: Krishna Teja (Jigris)

Best Child Actor: Rohan Roy (The Great Pre-Wedding Show)

Best Environmental Film: Igua

Best Debut Feature Film: Little Hearts

Best Children’s Film: Anaganagana

Best Story Writer: Gunasekhar (Euphoria)

Best Screenplay Writer: Anil Ravipudi

Best Lyricist: Nandakishore (Kuberaa)

Best Cinematographer: Karthik Ghattamaneni (Mirai)

Best Editor: Sreekar Prasad (Mirai)

Best Audiographer: M. R. Rajakrishnan (Kishkindhapuri)

Best Choreographer: “Gira Gira Gira” (Champion)

Best Art Director: Thota Tharani (Champion)

Best Makeup Artist: Govind (Akhanda 2)

Best Costume Designer: Chandrakant (Champion)

Several veteran artists and industry stalwarts were honoured with prestigious lifetime recognitions:

NTR National Award: Chiranjeevi

ANR Award: Jayasudha

Kantha Rao Award: R Narayana Murthy

BN Reddy Award: Singeetam Srinivasa Rao

Paidi Jairaj Award: Kamal Haasan

Nagireddy Chakrapani Award: Ashwini Dutt

C Narayana Reddy Award: Suddala Ashok Teja

Looking Back At Last Year’s Winners

The inaugural edition of the Gaddar Film Awards also celebrated major achievements in Telugu cinema. Allu Arjun won the Best Actor award for Pushpa 2: The Rule, while Nivetha Thomas received Best Actress for 35 – Chinna Katha Kaadu. Director Nag Ashwin won Best Director for Kalki 2898 AD, which also secured the Best Film honour.

Other winners during the first edition included Dulquer Salmaan, Ananya Nagalla and Faria Abdullah in different categories.
