In the clip, Chandrika appears dressed in attire associated with a Muslim identity, greeting viewers with “Asalam wallikum,” while the man standing beside her sports a Hindu look with a tilak on his forehead and says, “Jai Shree Ram.” Interestingly, the two seem to be playfully reversing roles before clarifying the confusion around their identities.
The man addresses viewers and states that the person many assumed to be Chandrika Banu is actually Chandrika Dixit. Chandrika then reveals that the so-called mystery man is named “Saifi.”
A Message Beyond Religion
Following the reveal, the duo exchange greetings associated with each other’s faith, with him saying “Asalam wallikum” and Chandrika responding with “Jai Shree Ram.” They then shift focus to a broader message, urging people to move beyond political narratives and remember that humanity is the greatest religion.
Chandrika also addressed the speculation surrounding their bond, saying, “Aap logon ne is rishte ko hi galat naam de diya hai,” suggesting that their relationship had been misunderstood.

Controversy And Husband’s Public Apology
The revelation follows recent remarks made by Chandrika’s husband, Yugam Gera, during an appearance on The Manas Show podcast. Yugam publicly apologised to Chandrika, admitting his mistakes and revealing that they are currently living separately as he feels unable to face her.
During the podcast, he also disclosed the name and profession of the mystery man. Speaking emotionally, Yugam shared that he feared Chandrika might consider leaving him after gaining fame but expressed his desire to repair their relationship.
Breaking down during the conversation, he said, “Agar Chandrika ye dekh rahi hain to please mujhe maaf kar de yar,” acknowledging his errors and pleading for forgiveness.
