What will be the release date of The Girlfriend on Netflix?
Netflix India posted the film’s poster on its Instagram account on Sunday, revealing that The Girlfriend would be available for streaming on Netflix from December 5 onwards. The post read,“Meet Bhooma Devi, The Girlfriend MA Literature :). Watch The Girlfriend on Netflix out 5 December in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.” This means viewers will be able to enjoy the film at home in their preferred language.

Besides Rashmika and Dixit, the film features Anu Emmanuel, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini in significant roles. The plot kicks off with a fairy tale romance, but as time goes on, the love turns bitter. Dixit’s part is that of a quick-tempered and harsh person which results in a very unpleasant and difficult relationship. The movie after its release has been praised for its storyline, direction, and particularly Rashmika’s excellent acting. Further, it had a good run at the box office.

Following the film’s release, Rashmika shared an emotional post on Instagram. She wrote that when director Rahul narrated the story to her, she became emotional. Many scenes and emotions resonated with her own life. Rashmika said she was amazed that a male writer could understand such deep emotions and write with such sensitivity. She further explained that the film’s heroine, Bhuma, is very close to her heart, and that playing this character helped her understand herself even better. While explaining each scene on set, he immediately understood what the director was trying to convey. He expressed his hope that audiences would experience the same emotions while watching the film that he felt while making it.
