Ram Gopal Varma is one of the most controversial celebrities of the film industry. He has been the man behind films like Rangeela, Satya, Company and more. However, of late, his controversial tweets and statements are keeping him in the news. Recently, an anecdote around Ram Gopal Varma and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi’s connection resurfaced on the web. It is about a marriage proposal and how RGV rejected by making a shocking statement on women.
When Suchitra Krishnamoorthi asked RGV for marriage
In the book titled Drama Queen, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi reportedly wrote about the incident when she asked Ram Gopal Varma for marriage. In the book, Suchritra reportedly revealed that she once sent a message to Ram Gopal Varma asking, “Ramu will you marry me?” She also revealed that she met him at his office to discuss about it. However, Ram Gopal Varma had a shocking reaction. He told her that she may have misunderstood him and that they aren’t similar at all. “Suchitra, I think you have misunderstood me. Completely. We are not similar at all. Never. I don’t believe in the institution of marriage. I am just not the marrying kind. I use women only for sex and I am very sure that’s not what you want. I like women’s bodies but not their brains. In my opinion, a woman should be seen and not heard,” is what he wrote in her book.
Later, in an interview with TOI, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi spoke about the episode that she had penned in her book. She said that there was a time when she wanted to marry Ram Gopal Varma and sent him a text. As per reports, she said, “Yes, there was a point when I wanted to marry him and I sent him this text message. And I have recounted Ramu’s reply too. Of course I have asked for his permission. How can I put this out without his permission?”
