ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 Points Table: India’s chances for the WTC final took a massive hit after they suffered a 184-run defeat in the Boxing Day Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Monday.
The defeat reduced India’s points PCT at third place from 55.89 to 52.77, with a seventh loss this cycle while Australia boosted their final chances with their 10th win this edition, elevating the points percentage to 61.45 from 58.89 before the fourth Test. With South Africa having already qualified for next year’s Lord’s final with a win over Pakistan, Australia can knock India out of contention if they draw or win the final Test in Sydney, starting January 3.
