Ateeq Ahmed, the father of the victim called the police and informed about the firing incident in Delhi’s Mustafabad on late Thursday evening.

A man was allegedly shot by some unidentified assailants in Delhi’s Mustafabad on late Thursday evening, the police said.
The incident took place at around 10 pm in the Dayalpur police station limit, and the victim was identified as Mehraj, 25.
The police were informed about the incident by the father of the victim, Ateeq Ahmed, after which they rushed to the spot.
“A police team immediately reached the location at Gali No. 15, Mustafabad, where the caller, Ateeq Ahmed, stated that his son, Mehraj (25 years), had been shot by some unknown assailants,” the Delhi Police said.
The cops registered a case under sections 109(1)/3(5) of the BNS and 27/54/59 of the Arms Act and launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
The crime team and the FSL also reached the spot to conduct an inspection of the crime scene.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
