The suspect, who the Bengaluru Police believed had killed Mahalakshmi and chopper her body into 59 piece, allegedly ended his life by hanging himself from a tree in Odisha.

Mukti Ranjan’s body was found in a village falling under Dhusuri Police Station, Bhadrak district of Odisha. Bengaluru police personnel who were searching for the suspect in Odisha have been informed by the local police.

According to preliminary information, Mukti visited his village on Tuesday and is said to have left the house and his body was found on the outskirts of the village. The body has been sent for a postmortem and the family has identified the body as that of Mukti Ranjan Roy.
