He said he was fortunate to work under his direction as ’Puliraju’ in Aradhana. “Bharathiraja’s passion for cinema, simplicity and dedication to his craft left a lasting impression on him. Bharathiraja’s legacy will live on forever through his remarkable films,” he added.
Music director G.V. Prakash Kumar said that he was really saddened to hear the news of the passing of Bharathiraja. “He was a stalwart who changed cinema and inspired so many film makers.”
Actor Sukanya said: “This is a big loss to the film industry. He has made phenomenal accomplishments. One of the key reasons why I came into the film industry was Bharathiraja. He was very passionate about direction. It is a rarity to see a hardworking person like him.”
