Elvish Yadav has been accused of sharing a fake video on social media and tarnishing the image of Rajasthan police. Recently, the YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner took to his YouTube channel and shared a video in which he claimed that he was being escorted by the Rajasthan police officials while he was travelling to Jaipur.
In the vlog, Elvish Yadav was seen with the former Rajasthan minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas’ son. As Khachariyawas’ son drove the vehicle, the two were seen discussing a police van ahead of their car. Pointing at the vehicle, Yadav said, “Rajasthan Police was taking care of me throughout the day.”
Following this, the former minister’s son told Elvish that the vehicle belonged to a local police station and that a permanent police van would join them soon.
However, soon after the video was shared online, Rajasthan police dismissed the claims. As reported by ETimes, Rameshwar Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police revealed that Elvish Yadav did not receive any escort vehicle. He accused the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner of tarnishing Rajasthan police’s image. Reportedly, an FIR in the case has been filed and further investigation is underway.
This is not the first time that an FIR has been filed against Elvish. Last year, the YouTuber made headlines in connection to the Noida Snake Venom case. He was arrested by Noida Police and a case was lodged under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. A week later, Yadav was granted bail, on a 50,000 bail bond.
Recently, the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) also appealed to the National Commission for Women (NCW) to take action against Elvish Yadav for his alleged derogatory and racial comments against former Miss Arunachal and Bigg Boss 18 contestant Chum Darang.
