Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed officials to expedite the High Capacity Mass Transit Route (HCMTR) and Electric Rapid Transit System (E-RTS) projects to address traffic congestion and support the growing population in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. The PCMC has been asked to begin technical and administrative procedures immediately.
