Turning into a genre bending superstar
After signing a quirky superhero comedy with filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, Salman Khan is now eyeing another ambitious big-screen venture. According to reports, the superstar is in talks with Farhan Akhtar for a grand period action drama inspired by one of the most celebrated figures from Indian history. A source told Pinkvilla, “Salman Khan and Farhan Akhtar have been meeting regularly over the last month to discuss a potential collaboration. Salman has loved what he has heard so far, and has shown keen interest in the project.” We have learnt that while the discussions are still at an early stage, the film is envisioned as a large-scale theatrical spectacle told across two instalments. If the collaboration materialises, the project is expected to begin production in summer 2027.
