Amit Shah hails the killing of Anal alias Patiram Manjhi and 15 Naxalites in West Singhbhum as a major anti-Naxal success, urging others to abandon violence and join development.

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah said that the killing of ‘Anal alias Patiram Manjhi’, a notorious Naxalite Central Committee member carrying a bounty of Rs 1 crore, along with 15 other Naxalites in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum, marks a major success in the anti-Naxal operation.
In a post on X, the Union Home Minister said, “Today, in West Singhbhum, the ongoing joint operation by CRPF and Jharkhand Police has achieved a major success in the campaign to make the region free of Naxals through encounters, with the neutralisation of the notorious bounty-wanted Naxal Central Committee member ‘Anal alias Patiram Manjhi’ worth Rs 1 crore and 15 other Naxals so far.”
He further said, “We are committed to eradicating Naxalism, which has been synonymous with fear and terror for decades, before March 31, 2026.”
Shah also appealed to the remaining Naxalites, saying, “I once again appeal to the remaining Naxals to abandon the ideology that connects to violence, terror, and arms, and join the mainstream of development and trust.”
