Bournemouth mid-fielder Justin Kluivert on Saturday became the first player in Premier League history to score a hat-trick of penalties in a match as his side downed Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-2 at the Molineux Stadium.

According to OptaJoe stats, Kluivert’s teammate Evanilson also became the first to win three penalties in the same game in the competition. Kluivert scored two penalties for Bournemouth in the opening 18 minutes against Wolves – it’s the earliest a team has scored twice from the spot from the start of a Premier League match.

The Netherlands international converted spot kicks in the third, 18th and 74th minutes in the match against Wolverhampton on Saturday.

Justin is the son of former Netherlands, Ajax and Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert.
