Tensions remained high across Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) on Monday as Pakistani security forces reportedly used tear gas against protesters following fresh clashes with workers of the Joint Awami Action Committee.
A communications blackout and shutter-down strike continued across parts of PoJK after deadly clashes in Rawalakot and Muzaffarabad left seven civilians dead on Sunday night, according to Dawn. Anti-Pakistan protests also spread to Bhimbar and Kotli, drawing hundreds onto the streets.
