Kannukul Nilav is a 2000 Tamil romantic thriller film written and directed by Faasil. The film featured Vijay, Shalini and Kaveri in lead roles. Raghuvaran, Srividya and Ponvannan played other supporting characters. It was Vijay’s 25th film and his first film of 2000. The film released on 14 January 2000 and became a huge hit.

Apart from the praise for the suspenseful story and Vijay’s performance, the songs “Oru Naal Oru Kanav” and “Iravu Pagalai Perki” were popular hit songs. Now the production manager is talking about the stunt scenes in the film and the accidents that followed. He said that the dupe scene on Vijay’s bike was shot early in the morning and for that the road and traffic were all closed and the stunt master was ready for the shooting.

He says that it was a short where dupe jumps from the bike and three cameras were set in separate parts. He says that it was Vijay’s dupe who was doing the stunt scene and he was doing everything as per his plan and accordingly he raised the bike and then the bike reached a height and then what everyone saw was that he was sitting on the bike and he flew and fell down hitting his head in the middle of the road.

He stated that there was blood all over the road and everyone was shocked and they all took him to the Medical Trust Hospital in Ernakulam by car. He says that by 14:00 in the evening, the doctor came and confirmed his death and it was very painful. The production manager added that that one portion of his is in the movie and everyone is still upset when they see it.

He says that such a big accident happened in front of everyone that day and it was the first time in his film career that such a terrible accident happened during the filming of a movie.
