Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday said he has been diagnosed with typhoid but asserted that his illness would not affect the ongoing agitation demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In a video message shared on social media, Dipke said he had been unwell for the past few days and is currently undergoing treatment while continuing to support the movement.

Informing supporters about his health, Dipke said medical tests had confirmed that he was suffering from typhoid.
“As you know, I have been unwell for the last few days. The reports are out and I have been diagnosed with typhoid,” he said.
He added that he was receiving intravenous medication as part of his treatment.
“The treatment is going on. I am getting IV drips every day. But I want to thank all the cockroaches who are protesting peacefully across the country,” he said.
Thanks supporters for expanding movement
Dipke expressed gratitude to CJP supporters for continuing the protests and said their peaceful demonstrations had helped strengthen the movement.
Congratulating those participating in the agitation, he voiced confidence that sustained public protests would eventually achieve the group’s principal demand.
“Congratulations to all of you for making this movement such a big success. I am very sure that if we continue protesting like this, we will get Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation,” he said.
Protest to continue despite Wangchuk ending fast
The CJP-led agitation, launched over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, has been demanding greater accountability in the examination system, reforms to recruitment and entrance tests, and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The protest gained nationwide attention after activist Sonam Wangchuk joined the movement on June 28 and observed a 26-day hunger strike in support of students protesting over the alleged NEET paper leak.
Wangchuk ended his fast earlier this week after the Centre provided written assurances that no cases would be registered against peaceful protesters, Parliament would discuss examination reforms and accountability, and compensation for families of students who died by suicide following the alleged NEET paper leak would be positively considered.
CJP reiterates demand for Pradhan’s resignation
Despite Wangchuk ending his hunger strike, the CJP has maintained that its agitation at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi will continue until Dharmendra Pradhan resigns from his post.
