The tensions between India and Pakistan are not looking to de-escalate anytime soon, as after Pakistan’s multiple airbases were attacked, Srinagar, Sirsa, Amritsar and now Jaisalmer have been under the cloud of missile attacks and momb explosions since the start of the day on May 10.
Jaisalmer echoed with explosions on Saturday (May 10) afternoon, as the tensions between India and Pakistan are not looking to de-escalate anytime soon. Multiple explosions were heard in the border town of Jaisalmer, the city which is undergoing sleepless nights amid the cross-border conflict between the two neighbours, which escalated following India putting Operation Sindoor in place on the midnight of May 7.
The whole of Jaisalmer was told to switch their televisions off as bomb explosions were heard in Mohangarh and Sultana. One after another, there were several explosions reported in the area and similarly, in Pokhran, three blasts were reported in a span of a few minutes. While the missiles have been intercepted by the Indian defence system, Pakistan, following their air bases getting destroyed, has gone into full offensive mode. Pokhran is also key since there were nuclear inspections to be held on May 11 and 13 and will be a high movement area in the coming days.
Earlier, after debris was found in Barmer of Pakistani missiles, the town has been on red alert, along with the likes of Churu and Jodhpur, which are near the border and have been experiencing some difficult days and nights. The entry points were closed in the town and the district collector has been on and on about safety precautions for the residents, while asking the locals to stay at home and try to stay as quiet as possible.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan’s ballistic missile Fatah-II was intercepted in Haryana’s Sirsa by the Indian defence system, which was reportedly headed towards the national capital, New Delhi after India attacked Pakistan’s multiple airbases in the night and early morning of May 10.
The Nur Khan base in Rawalpindi, the Murid base in Chakwal, and the Rafiqui base in Jhang district of Punjab province were all in flames, which triggered Pakistan’s attempts to attack Srinagar and other cities in Jammu and Kashmir.
