Vande Bharat train: Indian Railways (IR) has revised the schedule of Kalaburagi–SMVT Bengaluru–Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express train from January 1. Flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 12, 2024, this semi-high-speed train is being maintained and operated by the South Western Railway (SWR) zone.
Kalaburagi-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express: Train Numbers, Distance, Travel Time
Train number 22231 Kalaburagi–SMVT Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express train runs on all days of the week except Friday. On the other hand, train number 22232 SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express train runs on all days of the week except Thursday. The Kalaburagi–SMVT Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express train covers a distance of 550 km in 08:45 hrs.
Kalaburagi to Bengaluru Vande Bharat train: Stoppages
During its journey between Kalaburagi and Bengaluru, this Vande Bharat train stops at six stations. These are: Yadgir, Raichur, Manthralayam Rd, Guntakal, Anantapur and Yelahanka Junction. However, the Railway Board has now approved the re-routing of Train number 22231/22232 Kalaburagi–SMVT Bengaluru–Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express via Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam.
With this change, the train will have an additional stoppage at Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, effective from January 1, 2026, for services originating from Kalaburagi and from January 2, 2026, for services originating from SMVT Bengaluru.
Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express timings
Now, w.e.f January 1, the train number 22231 Kalaburagi–SMVT Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will depart Kalaburagi at 06:10 hrs, instead of the earlier 05:15 hrs. En route, the train will arrive/depart at Yadgir at 06:48/06:50 hrs, Raichur at 07:38/07:40 hrs, Manthralayam Road at 07:58/08:00 hrs, Guntakal at 09:00/09:05 hrs, Anantapur at 10:03/10:05 hrs, followed by a newly added stoppage at Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam at 11:00/11:02 hrs. The train will then reach Yelahanka at 12:28/12:30 hrs before finally reaching Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru at 14:10 hrs.

Train No. 22232 SMVT Bengaluru–Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express will depart Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru at 14:40 hrs as before. From SMVT Bengaluru, the train will reach Yelahanka at 15:05/15:07 hrs. A new scheduled halt at Sri Sathya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam has been introduced at 16:23/16:25 hrs. The train will then reach Anantapur at 17:33/17:35 hrs, Guntakal at 18:37/18:42 hrs. Further, it will stop at Manthralayam Road at 19:48/19:50 hrs, Raichur at 20:18/20:20 hrs, and reach Yadgir at 21:03/21:05 hrs. The train will finally reach Kalaburagi at 22:45 hrs, earlier than the previous 23:30 hrs schedule.
SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburagi Vande Bharat Express: Ticket price
The ticket price for travelling in an AC Chair Car between SMVT Bengaluru and Kalaburagi is Rs 1475. For an Executive Chair Car, this comes up to Rs 2710.
