Two men were arrested in Noida after a video circulated online showing them harassing a woman on the road. In the footage, one of the men can be seen blowing flying kisses at a woman travelling in another car, while repeatedly trying to get her attention as their vehicle followed hers.
The video shows the man driving a red-coloured MG Hector gesturing toward the woman, while his companion, seated in the back, smiles and looks on. In the viral video, the man who recorded the incident captured the accused’s vehicle number. He was heard saying, “Look, this man is drunk. We are travelling with our family. This is the vehicle number. He is behaving badly. A woman is seated in our vehicle.”
Meanwhile, the accused continued to wave at them and make obscene gestures, despite being filmed.
According to the police, the accused have been identified as Amit Kumar from Azamgarh district and Abhishek from Mainpuri district in Uttar Pradesh. Both were residing in Noida at the time of the incident. However, the day when the incident was reported is not known.
Authorities said the duo also behaved inappropriately with other women motorists, making lewd gestures and trailing their vehicles, leaving the women shaken and frightened. After the clip went viral on social media, police tracked down the car involved, arrested both individuals, and seized the vehicle.
Internet Reacts
The video sparked widespread outrage across social media, with users strongly condemning the men’s behaviour. Many called it blatant harassment and street-level misbehaviour. Several users also questioned whether driving high-end vehicles gave some people a false sense of immunity from the law.
On X, users urged authorities to act swiftly, tagging the Uttar Pradesh Police, Noida Police, and traffic officials. Many commenters said the incident reflected a lack of respect for women and public decency, while others warned about the increasing number of dangerous and irresponsible acts carried out to get online attention.
