According to the IMD, there are no more chances of rain in Kolkata and most of the districts of South Bengal in the next few days. Light rain with thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places in North 24 Parganas, Purba Bardhaman, Birbhum, Murshidabad and Nadia on Monday.

Despite predictions of continued rainfall in North Bengal and a possibility of scattered showers in some southern districts, the meteorological office has indicated that Eden Gardens is likely to remain dry. Spectators can expect a partly cloudy sky with maximum and minimum temperatures hovering around 36 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.

While there’s a slight chance of isolated rain in areas like Nadia, Murshidabad, Birbhum, Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, North and South Parganas, Purba and Paschim Medinipur, Jhargram, and a few spots in Purulia, the weather is expected to clear up — leading to dry conditions across South Bengal later in the day.

The temperature in these districts of South Bengal will increase by four to six degrees in the next four days. As a result, the scorching heat is about to return again. A heat wave situation developed in a vast area of South Bengal in the middle of the month of Choitro. Later, although there was temporary relief due to rain, the heat is increasing again.
