To facilitate the travel of lakhs of devotees expected to attend Ashadhi Wari 2026 in Pandharpur, the Solapur Division of Central Railway has announced 54 special train trips connecting the pilgrimage town with various parts of Maharashtra.
Ashadhi Ekadashi, one of Maharashtra’s most significant religious occasions, will be observed on July 25. Every year, lakhs of Warkaris converge on Pandharpur to offer prayers at the Vitthal-Rukmini temple.
In a press release issued on Thursday, Central Railway said it will operate a mix of reserved and unreserved special trains from Nagpur, New Amravati, Khamgaon, Bhusaval, Latur, Kolhapur, Pune, and Miraj to cater to the increased passenger demand during the annual pilgrimage.
Reserved special trains
Nagpur-Miraj Ashadhi Specials (Four trips)
Train No 01205 will depart Nagpur at 8.50 am on July 23 and July 24 and arrive at Miraj at 11.55 am the following day. The train will arrive at Pandharpur at 8 am and depart at 8.25 am.
Train No 01206 will leave Miraj at 12.55 pm on July 24 and July 25 and reach Nagpur at 12.25 pm the next day. The train will arrive at Pandharpur at 3.55 pm and depart at 5 pm.
New Amravati-Pandharpur Ashadhi Specials (Four trips)
Train No 01119 will depart New Amravati at 2.40 pm on July 21 and July 24 and arrive in Pandharpur at 9.10 am the next day.
Train No 01120 will leave Pandharpur at 7.30 pm on July 22 and July 25 and reach New Amravati at 12.50 pm the following day.
Khamgaon-Pandharpur Ashadhi Specials (Four trips)
Train No 01121 will depart Khamgaon at 11.30 am on July 22 and July 25 and arrive at Pandharpur at 3.30 am the next day.
Train No 01122 will depart Pandharpur at 5 am on July 23 and July 26 and reach Khamgaon at 7.30 pm on the same day.
The reserved trains will comprise two AC 3-tier coaches, 10 sleeper class coaches and six general second-class coaches, including two luggage-guard brake vans.
Unreserved special trains
Bhusaval-Pandharpur Specials (Four trips)
Train No 01159 will leave Bhusaval at 1.30 pm on July 24 and July 25 and arrive at Pandharpur at 3.30 am the next day.
Train No 01160 will depart Pandharpur at 10.30 pm on July 25 and July 26 and reach Bhusaval at 1 pm the following day.
Latur-Pandharpur Specials (8 trips)
Train No 01101 will depart Latur at 7.30 am on July 24, 27, 28 and 29 and arrive at Pandharpur at 12.50 pm on the same day.
Train No 01102 will leave Pandharpur at 1.50 pm on the same dates and reach Latur at 7.20 pm.
Kolhapur-Kurduvadi Daily Specials (16 trips)
Train No 01209 will depart Kolhapur at 6.10 am daily from July 22 to July 29 and arrive at Kurduvadi at 1.30 pm. The train will arrive at Pandharpur at 12.15 pm and depart at 12.25 pm.
Train No 01210 will leave Kurduvadi at 4.30 pm daily from July 22 to July 29 and reach Kolhapur at 10.30 pm. It will arrive at Pandharpur at 5.30 pm and depart at 5.40 pm.
Pune-Miraj Daily Specials (14 trips)
Train No 01207 will depart Pune at 8.40 am daily from July 23 to July 29 and reach Miraj at 6.45 pm. The train will arrive at Pandharpur at 3.55 pm and depart at 4 pm.
Train No. 01208 will leave Miraj at 7.30 pm daily from July 23 to July 29 and arrive in Pune at 4.30 am the next day. It will arrive at Pandharpur at 9.55 pm and depart at 10 pm.
Booking details
Reservations for the special trains operating on special charges will be available at all computerised reservation centres and through the IRCTC website.
Tickets for unreserved coaches can be booked through station booking counters and the RailOne mobile application.
Passengers have been advised to travel with valid tickets and check detailed train schedules through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES), RailOne App or the Indian Railways enquiry portal.
According to Central Railway, the operation of the special trains is aimed at ensuring safe, convenient and comfortable travel for devotees while supporting one of Maharashtra’s most significant spiritual and cultural traditions.
